Life After the Pandemic: Navigating Concerts, Raves, & More
There’s no doubt that artists are chomping at the bit to be back on the road to entertain their fans. If you were an avid concert-goer before the pandemic hit, you likely feel the same way as many artists.
But before you grab your gear and hit the road in search of the next great event, there are precautions that need to be taken to ensure not only your safety but that of others, as well.
With the right approach, there’s no reason why everyone can’t enjoy the same freedoms they had before the pandemic. It’s likely going to take some practice and plenty of patience, but the payoff will be well worth it in the long run.
Preparing for Large Gatherings in 2021
While you might catch wind of several concerts and raves taking place this year, it’s important to know which ones are legal and which ones aren’t. Knowing how to celebrate festivals during a pandemic is key to your safety – and legality.
Sadly, there are illegal rave events popping up all over the place. The problem, however, is that these events aren’t properly sanctioned. Many of them disregard COVID-19 rules and regulations, leaving these events an open site for unsafe conditions.
It’s important that you seek out legal gatherings post-COVID-19. And in doing so, you need to make sure that you come well-prepared. Take this rave suit pandemic style. Designed last year to accommodate event-goers during the pandemic, this suit allows wearers to vape, drink beverages, and communicate – all while staying protected from potential health risks.
It is fully enclosed, but you can still see, hear, and enjoy yourself without having to take off the suit. Combined with a pair of high-quality earplugs, you’ll be ready to safely experience concerts in life after the pandemic.
Will There Be Concerts in 2021?
Absolutely, but with caveats. More event holders are looking to the vaccine passport to ensure that attendants are at a lower risk of infection. You’ll simply download the vaccine passport app to your smartphone and present evidence that you’ve been vaccinated upon entry.
And that’s likely only the beginning of the vaccine passport. USA companies, as well as many abroad, are looking into ways to implement this concept to allow more people to attend social events as they did before the pandemic hit.
So, what are some of the events that you can look forward to and buy concert tickets? 2021 is already planning a whole host of events, such as EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival). Presently, this Las Vegas-based event is scheduled to run from October 22nd through the 24th.
The EDC had to sit on the sidelines for the year of 2020 and hasn’t been seen since 2019. As such, many people who were planning on attending last year had to request an EDC refund.
Needless to say, there is much speculation as to who will be present in the EDC 2021 lineup this year. While no names have been given yet, that hasn’t stopped online communities from discussing their wish lists.
If 2020’s tentative lineup is anything to go by, you could see many of the following names at this year’s event:

Selena Gomez Upcoming Concerts
Selena Gomez has certainly been staying busy during the pandemic, with upcoming events to promote reuniting the world. The superstar is scheduled to host VAX LIVE: The Concert to Unite the World on May 8th.
Also scheduled to make appearances are Jennifer Lopez, Foo Fighters, Eddie Vedders, J Balvin, and H.E.R.
This event is being sponsored by Global Citizen, an international advocacy organization. The VAX LIVE concert is designed to spread the word about vaccines and get people more confident to take them.
Moreover, the event is meant to call world leaders everywhere to make the vaccine more readily available. What’s more, many artists are calling for better vaccine equality in an attempt to make the vaccine more accessible to everyone, regardless of race, gender, etc.
How You Respond
In the end, it’s important that you follow the rules put in place if you wish to attend concerts and other social events in a post-pandemic world. With so many people gathering together for the first time since the pandemic was announced, it’s likely that there is going to be a lot of confusion as to how to respond.
Set a good example for others to follow. There will undoubtedly be a mix of emotions as much of society gets their first taste of freedom in what seems like forever. But cooler heads must prevail if the public wishes to continue these types of events safely.
Wear protective clothing, practice social distancing where applicable, and cover your face. If you can abide by these standards, you will be one step closer to following the system created to keep people safer.
And don’t forget to bring hearing protection, too. This is one area you don’t want to overlook as you prepare to attend concerts in 2021. Hearing loss prevention is just as important as anything else. With the use of high-fidelity earplugs, you can look forward to prolonging your hearing while still having a good time.
And if you’re going to be flying to your destination, be sure to pick up aviation earplugs. Not only do they reduce noises and sounds to comfortable levels, but they also reduce ear pain instantly. When you prepare for your concert with these essentials, you’re sure to have a memorable experience.
